For 16 years, Jimmy Reyes has been building an incredible radio career working with Smokey Robison, George Lopez, Art Laboe, Sinbad, Mario Lopez, Gabriel Iglesias, Mary J. Blige, and more. Jimmy is currently hosting his own morning show on the New Old School 101.3, Mondays-Fridays 6AM- 10AM.
In middle school, Jimmy discovered “school dances” and immediately fixated on his dream of being a “DJ." After graduating from the Academy of Radio Broadcasting in Huntington Beach in 1998, he landed an internship and first job at Mega 100.3 F.M in Los Angeles, where he wore many hats from an intern, producer, production assistant, promotions and, on air personality. Then he became the host of Hot 92.3’s morning show, taking over for Rick Dees in 2012, and hosted Old School Saturday Night. Jimmy has also worked at Wild 96.1 FM in San Bernardino on air nights, afternoons and middays.
Jimmy’s a huge music fan, Club DJ, loves classic cars, fashion, traveling, photography, shopping, tattoos, amusement parks, dining out, nightlife and enjoys helping the local communities he’s apart of! Jimmy’s also a proud uncle with 3 nephews who he loves so much, a real family guy.
