Facebook has permanently banned several extremist leaders for being "dangerous." According to
The Washington Post, the social media platform announced Thursday that some far-right and anti-Semitic individuals and organizations are among those banned. They include Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, InfoWars host Alex Jones, former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, and far-right influencer Laura Loomer. "We've always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence, regardless of ideology," Facebook says in a statement. "The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today." Facebook's move comes after an apparent white supremacist livestreamed his mass shooting of a New Zealand mosque on the site.
